comments, no rude remarks this time folks. I’m just here report the facts and
move on. There’s really nothing here new to report this weekend. It’s the same
ol’, same ol’ – "Furious 7" was No. 1 at the box office again, for the fourth week
in a row, with $18 million; though, in one minor surprise, Lionsgate’s film, “The
Age of Adaline,” actually beat "F7" on Friday, slightly edging it out at the
B.O. 

But don’t
worry for you hardcore "Fast" and/or "Furious" fans, since you can rest assured
that the franchise will keep chugging along into perpetuity.

In fact, last
week, it was announced that "Fast and Furious 8" or "Furious 8," or whatever it’s
going to be called, will be released two years from now, on April 14, 2017, to
be exact. So you can relax. 

And as of
now, the film has grossed some $320 million
domestically, and another astounding $1 billion overseas. Remember that’s
billion with a “B”. Like I said last week, it’s those dem furriners. What’s wrong
with them? I guess they’ve lost their taste for Goddard.

Of course
people are more interested in what "The Avengers: Age of Ultron" will do next
weekend. There already are predictions that it will open to the biggest weekend ever in history, with some saying that it could hit $250 million,
and others saying that is ridiculous. We’ll have to wait and see. But truly the geeks
have really taken over the world.

(UPDATE: And now we have some idea of just how big. The Avengers opened this weekend in 44 countries overseas with $201 million. And there you have it)

And though
it is so far, to date, the worst reviewed film of 2015, "Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2" came in
second again, with $15.5 million; though, at the rate it’s going, it will never even
come close to the $146 million that the first "Paul Blart" film made.

As the
aforementioned "The Sage of Adaline," which I hadn’t even heard of until I saw an
ad for the film last Friday in the newspaper (had any of you?), came in third, with almost $13.4 million.

But, like I said, next
week, things are going to get really crazy
