The internet exploded when a Twitter user noted that Tee Morant, Grizzlies star Ja Morant’s father, resembled Usher, Yahoo Sports reports. Buzz about Tee being Usher’s lookalike persisted throughout the Grizzlies-Timberwolves playoff series. After catching on to the chatter, Usher popped up at Game 5 and sat next to the proud dad.
According to Essentially Sports, Tee was seen sitting courtside and cheering on his son during a Grizzlies game two weeks ago, when a Twitter user noted that he looked like he was related to Usher.
“Not me thinking Ja’s dad was Usher,” the person wrote.
Some people were convinced that the singer and Ja’s dad were the same people and even questioned where Usher was during the 7 p.m. game.
“I still don’t know….Somebody ask him to give his whereabouts at 7 o’clock on the dot,” one user commented.
After learning of the chatter on Twitter, Usher decided to attend Game 5. The arena took advantage of the moment and even played along, Yahoo Sports reports.

The arena’s jumbotron projected a game of “Look Alike Cam,” scanning attendees and comparing them to a celebrity or TV character.
The camera panned to Tee, and then revealed the singer sitting next to him, both wearing a black T-shirt, silver chain and all-black aviators.
Despite sitting next to each other, some people continue to joke that they were the same people.
