Usher made such a sweet gesture during Anita Baker’s performance at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta on Feb. 14.

While singing her 1986 classic “Same Ole Love (365 Days a Year),” the songstress received a bouquet of red roses from the Confessions crooner, who presented the flowers dressed in a red top and black pants while down on one knee.

After being surprised, Baker told fans, “My nephew never fails,” before handing the mic to Usher. He then sang a few bars of Baker’s hit song, which fans caught on camera.

Later that night, Baker and Usher were joined backstage by Jermaine Dupri, Tamia and her husband Grant Hill, Chris Webber, and John Gray, who posed for a photo with the singers.

Though Anita Baker and Usher aren’t blood-related, they have a close bond.

In September 2022, Usher serenaded the “Sweet Love” singer with his song “Superstar” during his Las Vegas My Way residency.

A month later, Baker surprised Usher by singing him “Happy Birthday” and toasting him during a concert.

“The icon Anita Baker! My favorite auntie, thank you for this surprise bday moment. You got me!” he captioned a video of the performance on Instagram.
