Super Bowl Sunday was an exhilarating day for Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Van Jefferson, whose team won against the Cincinnati Bengals and who welcomed his baby boy into the world that day.

In a video shared by Inside the NFL, Van interacts with his 5-year-old daughter Bella Jefferson when a Rams staffer tells him that his wife Samaria Jefferson was giving birth to his second child, a baby boy, according to The Sporting News.

"Your wife's giving birth right now," the staffer told the 25-year-old.

Van immediately stands up and walks away from Bella and an unidentified little boy, appearing slightly in shock.

"Oh my gosh," he says in response, before his daughter asked, "Where are you going?"

Van kneels back down to talk to his daughter, telling her "Mommy's finna have a baby. We gotta go. Mommy's finna have your brother."

Samaria went into labor during the middle of Sunday's matchup and was hauled out of the arena on a stretcher. She requested that Van not be told of her condition until after the game so he could remain focused, Today  reports.

Later, another video captures Van jetting out of the stadium, making his way to the hospital.

On Sunday, Samaria was experiencing sporadic contractions and intended to show her support for Van.

"Just like any other game, I'm going to be there this Sunday and I'm going to stay calm … and pray to God my water doesn't break," she said, according to The Athletic. "I am 100% going to be there. I would not miss this moment for anything. I will be 40 weeks pregnant at the Super Bowl, supporting my husband 100%."

Van Jefferson's wife Samaria left the Super Bowl in the third quarter as she went into labor and delivered a baby.

Van is a second-year receiver from Florida and is the second on his team that clocked 802 yards and 16 yards per reception, according to The Sporting News.

"He's a great dad, a great team player, all of the things," Samaria said, according to The Sporting News. "I don't know how he does it, but he does it."
