Worth sharing interview with Rashida Jones, discussing, at length, her new feature documentary, "Hot Girls Wanted," which Netflix is releasing.

Described as a first-ever look at the realities of the professional “amateur” porn industry, and the steady stream of 18-to-19-year old girls entering into it, the film is directed by Jill Bauer & Ronna Gradus.

Jones, who produced the documentary, talked to Vice host Gianna Toboni, in the below video-taped chat, in which she not only talks about the film, but also shares her opinions on "the pornification of everything," as she puts it, the dangers of this trend, plus commentary on influential artists like Nicki Minaj and Miley Cyrus, and the "conflation of pop culture and porn."

“I’ve been vocal about this… that’s happening right now and it’s happening everywhere: in music, in film. It’s almost as if [young girls have] been given permission to think that porn is a good place to go… It’s a great quick cash, glamorous way to get famous […] The pornification of everything… just felt like something we were forced to accept and never had a conversation about it… Do you have to twerk to be cool?”

It’s a thoughtful conversation, and runs about 13 minutes.
