24 year old Stefun Darts made a promise in the second grade to pay off his grandparents home and help them retire. On March 20th he held true to that promise and presented his grandparents with a $15,000 check to pay off the remainder of their mortgage. Not only did he pay off their home but he also gifted them with a trip to the Bahamas.

Darts made the ultimate sacrifice over the years in order to make this happen. He worked, full time, while attending college, full time, and runs two non profits. “I’ve been eating pizza, microwave pizza for all my life,” said Stefun Darts. “My friends will tell you I never did go out. They didn’t know, but this was the reason why.”

Even though his grandparents had been making timely payments for over 20 years they still were grateful for the gift. “I couldn’t believe it,” said Marilyn Roberts, Stefun’s grandmother. “To have a grandson like that is a blessing.”
