Don Cheadle's new dark comedy TV series for the Showtime network, titled House Of Lies (based on the book House of Lies: How Management Consultants Steal Your Watch and Tell You the Time by Martin Kihn) stars Cheadle as Marty, a highly successful, cutthroat consultant who will use any means (or anyone) necessary to get his clients the information that they want.
Showtime picked up the pilot and ordered 12 episodes of the series which will make its official debut on the network this Sunday, January 8th, 2012, at 10PM; but Showtime has made the season premiere episode available on YouTube, as likely all part of its overall marketing strategy for the series. I embedded it at the bottom of this post.
Heroes alum, Dawn Olivieri, plays Monica, Marty's "crazy, pill-popping ex-wife and biggest professional competition, as her consulting firm is No.1, compared to Marty's No. 2."
And, Glynn Turman, last seen in Burlesque and Takers, will co-star, playing Cheadle's father.
Don recently signed a 1-year first-look deal with Showtime, under which he and his producing partners will develop and executive produce series projects for the cable channel.
While we wait to see what other tricks he has up his sleeve, here's episode 1 of House Of Lies:
