Here’s your first good look at Laurence Fishburne in action as Perry White, the Daily Planet editor-in-chief, in the next Superman movie, Man of Steel, which opens, next week.

White has always been portrayed as, well, white, both in the comics and the movies! Unless I’m wrong about that, and I’m sure all you comic book aficionados will correct me if I’m wrong. 

As for how involved Fishburne’s White will be involved in the drama that unfolds on screen, we’ll have to wait until we actually see the film. But Fishburne is almost always a presence, no matter the role.

The Superman reboot is produced by Christopher Nolan, directed by Zack Snyder, and stars Henry Cavill as the titular character.
