nullThanks to a comment left by S&A follower ScreenNation, I was reminded of  emerging British filmmaker Destiny Ekaragha and after some quick research, discovered her acclaimed short film Tight Jeans is now available online.

The film, which screened at the 2008 Times BFI London Short Film Festival and the 2009 Pan African Film Festival among others, made  Ekaragha an overnight success.  It won the "Rushes Soho Shorts Best New Comer" Award as well.

The synopsis:

"Three black teenagers are becoming frustrated while waiting for their friend. A young white lad walks past wearing super tight jeans. The boys look on until one of them asks the pivotal question, “How can a man wear jeans that tight?” This sparks a debate about race and culture."

Ekaragha, who directed the popular British dramedy The Future WAGS Of Great Britain, is currently developing the coming-of-age comedy Gone Too Far, with writer Bola Agbaje, which you can read about HERE.
