Here’s the latest trailer for director Michel Gondry’s latest film, Mood Indigo (AKA The Foam of the Days), starring Romain Duris, Audrey Tautou and Omar Sy, which opens in France next month before opening up wider in Europe this spring and summer.
According to the synopsis, the film is about a young inventor “Colin (Duris), who meets Chloe (Tautou), a young woman appears to be the incarnation of a Duke Ellington tune. Their idyllic marriage turns bitter when
Chloe falls ill of a water lily growing in her lung”.
Obviously this is furrin movie.
Not exactly sure what Sy plays in the film, but he seems to be playing the couple’s best friend and sometimes driver.
And, judging from the trailer, it’s very French, very visual, very weird, very surrealistic, very “oh la la!” and very “c’est magnifique!”.
No word as to a stateside release yet.
