U.K. based filmmaker Moses Ssebandeke has written and directed a new short film titled "Patient 4138," which he originally intended to release on the BBC, where he had a one year apprenticeship with the BBC Academy. However he decided to release his short film independently.

"Patient 4138" follows a young woman, Rachel, who "arrives at Isaiah’s private home clinic for a special treatment that helps her delete unwanted memories. She then goes on a surreal journey into her own psyche that reveals the reason why she is so damaged."

Ssebandeke says that he wanted to create a film based on one of his favorite bible passages – Isaiah 43:18 – which says to "forget the former things, do not dwell on the past." He also adds that one of his favorite films is "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind," and that he conceived his short film as a sort of a homage to that film, experimenting with narrative structure and telling a story backwards.
