It was made without much advance publicity, considering who's in it and who directed it, but here's the trailer for the action thriller Dead Man Down, starring Noomi Rapace, Colin Farrell and Terrence Howard.

The film revolves around Beatrice (Rapace), a mysterious woman who blackmails a criminal, Victor (Farrell), to kill an underground New York crime boss Hoyt (Howard) who wants him dead for revenge for a previous violent act against her. Turns out that Victor is Hoyt's right hand man, so there's your dramatic conflict for you.

The film was directed by Swedish director Niels Arden Oplev who directed Rapace in the original (and still the best) The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo.

The film comes out on March 8 from FilmDistrict.
