Kanye West once again dominated the headlines this week, but there are plenty of other topics to talk about as well. West, now known as Ye, will be featured in a docuseries on Netflix in February. 

"Step inside the journey of Kanye West, over 20 years in the making. jeen-yuhs: A Kanye Trilogy — a once in a lifetime three-week global event — begins February 16," Netflix announced on Monday while dropping a preview of the upcoming film. 

Ye stole the spotlight again when he was captured in a photo with The Game, Antonio Brown, will.i.am and Wack100. 

According to Rollingout, Ye and his friends came together for a studio session. A short clip of Ye freestyling in the studio was also posted on social media shortly after the photo emerged.

There was still more Ye news this week when the artist was named as a suspect in an alleged battery incident on Thursday. According to Fox 11, the 44-year-old is accused of knocking a fan to the ground after a person asked for an autograph around 3 a.m. in downtown Los Angeles.

"Did y'all say that or not? Did y'all say that or not? Cuz that's what happened right f**king now," the rapper can be heard saying in a video obtained by TMZ. 


Steve Harvey turned some heads this week when he was seen in an extravagant outfit while heading to Jimmy Kimmel Live. Harvey’s stylist, Elly Karamoh, posted photos of the stylish comedian on Instagram.

"First televised look of 2022, get ready for Steve Harvey’s new fashion era. No games this year, none," Karamoh wrote on Instagram.

According to Highsnobiety, The Family Feud host appeared to be wearing a pair of monogrammed leather pants by Gucci when he sat down for an interview with Kimmel.

Tennis superstar Naomi Osaka introduced her new unisex Nike apparel collection, which includes long-sleeve turtleneck tops, vests and buckled tennis pants, as well as sweatshirts, pullovers and T-shirts. 

“When it was in the process of creation, it was important to me that there was something for everyone, which means more versatile, gender-neutral pieces in my favorite colors and of course the legendary camo print,” Osaka wrote on Instagram.

According to Variety, the latest collection is Osaka's third collaboration with Nike. 

Kid Cudi, who has been recently venturing into acting, was seen in a preview of his latest movie. Cudi's movie, X, is about a group of young filmmakers in the late '70s who run into some trouble when they travel to rural Texas to film and produce an adult film, Highsnobiety reports


Steven Soderbergh and Don Cheadle are producing a new HBO Max series about Jeremiah Hamilton, a Haitian immigrant who became one of the first Black millionaires in history in the 1800s, Variety reports. The story of the man who turned into a Wall Street tycoon using questionable methods is based on Shane White's book, Prince of Darkness: The Untold Story of Jeremiah G. Hamilton, Wall Street’s First Black Millionaire

The series is currently titled The Other Hamilton.  

Roddy Ricch, who was replaced as the musical guest on Saturday Night Live due to COVID-19 exposure, said he is working to “lock in a new date.”

“Due to recent COVID exposure on my team and to keep everyone safe I won’t be able to perform on SNL this weekend,” Roddy said, according to Complex. “I’m working with the SNL team to lock in a new date though!”

SNL will return on Jan. 15 with host Ariana DeBose and musical guest Bleachers serving as Roddy’s replacement.

FX has released the trailer for season three of Atlanta.

“We are thrilled to have Atlanta back with a new season on March 24th. Once again, Donald Glover, the producers and stellar cast have delivered another signature season synonymous with the excellence that makes Atlanta so great," Eric Schrier, president of FX Entertainment, said in a statement, according to Harper's Bazaar. 


The Oregonian released a report this week revealing that Nike will begin firing unvaccinated employees this weekend. According to the newspaper, the company is now sending emails to unvaccinated employees and letting them that they will be fired because they didn't comply.

“You failed to complete the verification process and our records show that you do not have an approved (exemption),” one email stated, according to Complex. “As a result, you are not in compliance with the Policy and your employment is scheduled to be terminated on Saturday, January 15, 2022.”

Actress Yvonne Orji is hosting a new HBO Max show titled My Mom, Your Dad, a reality dating series which “follows a group of single parents who have been nominated by their college-age kids for a second chance at love."


The new season of Euphoria returned to HBO Max on Jan. 9.

ABC's new sitcom, Abbott Elementary, starring Quinta Brunson, is getting high praise from viewers. 

Brunson, who also created the show, stars as a second-year elementary school teacher in Philadelphia who shows off some humor while dealing with an incompetent principal and some questionable colleagues.

“My goal with the show is to make people laugh, but I do hope that it gets people thinking,” Brunson told the Los Angeles Times. “And [that] it puts a little bit of pressure on the people who need to be pressured a little.”
