We have a name for the first Fenty-Mayers baby!

Rihanna and A$AP Rocky reportedly named their son RZA in honor of the rapper and leader of the iconic hip-hop group Wu-Tang Clan.

The Daily Mail exclusively obtained a copy of the infant’s birth certificate, revealing his full name as RZA Athelston Mayers.

Blavity reported the Savage Fenty CEO, 35, and her partner welcomed their first child together on May 13, 2022. Since giving birth, Rihanna teased the little boy’s name by wearing fashionable items to support the New York-based group.

Though it’s unclear how they settled on the name, the proud parents are big fans of the Wu-Tang Clan. The group was formed in Staten Island, New York, in 1992 with RZA, GZA, Method Man, Raekwon, Ghostface Killah, Inspectah Deck, U-God, Masta Killa, and the late Ol’ Dirty Bastard as group members, per Daily Mail.

The Rihanna Navy speculated for months about the child’s name since the “Diamonds” singer kept his name under wraps for nearly a year. But young RZA also has additional meaning behind his name.

His middle name, Athelston, was given to him by his father, whose full name is Rakim Athelston Mayers, according to Entertainment Tonight. The birth certificate also revealed the young boy was born at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.

Rihanna is pregnant with her second child and revealed the baby bump during her Super Bowl performance in February, Blavity reported. In a news conference, she described how difficult it was for her to choose which songs to perform at the largest sporting event.

“That was the hardest, hardest part: deciding how to maximize 13 minutes but also celebrate. That’s what this show is gonna be. It’s gonna be a celebration of my catalog in the best way that we could’ve put it together,” she told Apple Music host Nadeska Alexis. “You’re trying to cram 17 years of work into 13 minutes, so it’s difficult. Some songs we have to lose because of that, and that’s gonna be OK, but I think we did a pretty good job of narrowing it down.”

Rihanna delivered a record-breaking performance in terms of viewership, and fans were excited to see the superstar return to music.

Earlier this month, the parents-to-be appeared at the Met Gala and gushed over their firstborn with ET’s Rachel Smith.

“I’m in love. I’m obsessed, and I don’t even feel guilty about it,” Rihanna said, as the Harlem native added, “[He’s] growing big. Beautiful, happy baby.”

Rihanna also shared how pregnancy is much different the second time around.

“It’s so different from the first one,” she added. “No cravings. Tons of nausea. Everything’s different, but I’m enjoying it.”
