Musician and famed producer Quincy Jones has died at the age of 91. Jones’ extraordinary life saw him work with some of the greatest entertainers of the 20th century, including Michael Jackson and Frank Sinatra, and earn more than 20 Grammy Awards throughout his nearly 75-year-long career. His legacy is cemented not only by his unprecedented impact on music but also by his seven children.

Jolie Jones Levine

Jolie Jones Levine is Jones’ first child, who he welcomed with his childhood sweetheart and first wife, Jeri Caldwell, in 1953, People reported. Levine is more private than Jones’ other children, only dipping her toe in the entertainment world working as a model and doing some scene work in her teens, according to The Standard UK. She appeared in 1977’s  Panic in Echo Park and had a brief music career, releasing “Take a Second Look” for the soundtrack of the 1987 film Hunk

Rachel Jones 

Rachel was born in 1963, a result of an affair Jones had while still married to Caldwell with dancer Carol Reynolds, per People. She did not follow in her father’s footsteps and pursue an entertainment career, opting instead to graduate from the Tuskegee University School of Veterinary Medicine in 1999. She owns a holistic mobile veterinary practice in Los Angeles and New York.

Martina Jones

Shortly after his breakup with Caldwell, Jones fathered another child, Martina, with Swedish model Ulla Andersson in 1966. They married in 1967 before splitting in 1974, and Martina went to live with her mother in Sweden, mirroring her career by becoming a model. Now, she’s a photographer and shares on social media

Quincy Delight Jones III

Jones’ son and namesake, Quincy Delight Jones III, was born in 1968 with Andersson. He followed in his father’s footsteps, pursuing a music career, and began producing at 13, earning his first gold record when he was 16. He’s been in the booth with and mixed music for artists like Prince, Tupac Shakur, Ice Cube, LL Cool J and Lionel Richie.

More recently, he’s made headlines for his documentary series Beef and The Carter, a film about Lil Wayne. He’s also an activist and has been a vocal advocate for anti-violence in the rap community. 

Kidada Ann Jones 

Jones and his third wife, Mod Squad actor Peggy Lipton, welcomed daughter Kidada in 1974, who’s best known for her contributions to the fashion industry. After attending the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising, she worked for Tommy Hilfiger, becoming his longtime muse. Kidada styled celebrities like Michael Jackson, designed Snoop Dogg’s clothing line and modeled for magazines like Elle, Vogue and Harper’s Bazaar. She now runs a line for The Walt Disney Company, Kidada for Disney Couture.

Rashida Jones

Actor and filmmaker Rashida Jones is perhaps Quincy’s most well-known child. She was born to him and Lipton in 1976 and has appeared in many TV shows and films like The Office, Parks and Recreation, The Social Network and Our Idiot Brother. Rashida is also a writer, penning the highly acclaimed Black Mirror episode “Nosedive” and 2018’s Quincy, a documentary film about her father released by Netflix, which she also directed.

Kenya Kinski-Jones

After calling it quits like Lipton, Jones was linked to German actor and model Nastassja Kinski. The couple had one daughter, Kenya, on Feb. 9, 1993. They broke up a few years after her birth. Kenya graduated from Loyola Marymount University in 2015 and has since pursued a career in modeling.
