And the beat goes on for super producer Will Packer who’s now teaming with director Malcolm D. Lee on a new project titled Girls Trip.
Set up at Universal Pictures – the studio with which Packer inked a 3-year first-look production deal last year, under his newly-formed Will Packer Productions banner – details on Girls Trip are being kept under-wraps for now, so let the speculation begin, if only based on the title alone!
The announcement comes on the heels of hits for both Packer (Ride Along) and Lee (Best Man Holiday), both at Universal as well, by the way.
A summer production start date is eyed for Girls Trip.
Packer, whose 2014 slate includes a sequel to 2012’s Think Like A Man (directed by Tim Story) is repped by UTA and Matt Johnson of Ziffren Brittenham. And Lee is repped by Resolution Agency’s Adam Kanter.
