A young woman poured back into her grandmother by giving her flawless, knotless braids after pleading for years to do her hair.

TikToker @soulful.strands recalled her grandmother’s hair needing a little “TLC” after years of wearing protective styles to strengthen her natural hair.

“Her hair needed some TLC after years of wig-wearing & no trims or deep treatments. I’ve never seen her in braids in all my years of living, so I was honored to give her some. My beauty queen,” she said in the caption of the video.

At the beginning of the video, the two posed for the camera with the text reading, “My granny FINALLY let me do her hair after years of begging.” The family matriarch eventually caved in and allowed her granddaughter to style her salt and pepper tresses.

The young woman sprayed her grandmother’s hair with products and parted it into four sections. She then used additional hair to braid into the woman’s mane, giving her a beautiful finished look.

When asked if she wanted baby hairs, the woman’s grandmother said yes without realizing what they were. “She said yea but then realized what I asked,” the TikToker wrote with a laughing emoji. “Baby hairs are MIA.”

The proud grandmother seemed pleased by her granddaughter’s work as she smiled for the camera with her new braids in a neatly styled bun.

The one-minute clip amassed more than 589,400 views on the video-sharing platform, with users complimenting the woman’s style.

“The blueish grey tone is gorgeous!” one user said.

“She’s the cutest 😍,” another user said.

“She look so good my God🤎🤎,” a third added.

In a subsequent post, one TikToker told the hairstylist that her grandma looked just like her own grandmother and asked if she could advise women in their 20s about life.

“[Live your life], you only have one life to live,” the Caribbean granny said in the video.

Her granddaughter laughed and said, “She was a hot gyal.”

She replied, “That’s right.”
