A Texas woman had quite a scare on Tuesday after she was rushed to the emergency room for acute poisoning, The Shade Room reports.

Erin “Dawn” Sims, 37, was out with her husband celebrating her birthday at a restaurant in northern Houston. After leaving the restaurant, Dawn noticed a napkin stuffed into her car door handle. She didn’t think much of it, and removed it with her acrylic fingernails and opened the door handle with the pads of her fingers.

Not long after that, Dawn’s fingers and arms started to tingle. After experiencing a few other symptoms, including lightheadedness, shortness of breath and a fever, Dawn and her husband called 911 and were instructed to go to the hospital. Doctors then determined her vitals weren’t stable and that she had acute poisoning from an unknown substance.

Doctors, however, said there wasn’t enough poison in her system to determine what the substance was.

Dawn shared a video with her followers explaining what happened. Toward the end of the clip, the 37-year-old got emotional discussing what could have happened if her husband wasn’t there, or if she were exposed to more of the poison.

“Doctors say it could have been a potential kidnapping attempt,” she tearfully explained in the video.

She urged viewers to stay safe and aware of their surroundings, especially if they’re in the Houston area.

“I never thought this would happen to me on my side of time,” she said.

According to The Shade Room, Dawn is looking for footage of the parking lot to figure out what happened. She also has plans to file a police report.
