YouTube pop culture commentator Zach Campbell is getting blasted on social media after questioning Megan Thee Stallion‘s testimony against Tory Lanez, the rapper accused of shooting the 27-year-old in the foot during a 2020 argument. In a now-deleted video, Campbell accused Megan of using the case for sympathy.

“Knowing an Aquarius, I feel bad for you, but are you using this for sympathy?” Campbell said.

A TikTok user who examined each of Campbell’s points found it hard to believe the pundit linked the testimony to Megan’s star sign while dismissing her story.

When Campbell wondered if Megan “is truly the victim in all this,” the TikTok user fired back, reminding him that the 27-year-old was shot either way, whether it was her friend Kelsey Harris or Lanez who fired the gun.

“She was shot,” she said. “Someone had to shoot her, whether it was Kelly or Tory  or both. She was shot. She is the victim.”

Campbell continued to dig himself into a hole when he said Megan had too many inconsistencies in her story.

“The only lie you guys speak of is Megan saying she didn’t sleep with Tory,” the TikTok user said in response. “Meanwhile, the man Tory used as a witness got on the stand and confirmed that Tory had the gun and shot it four or five times.”

A Megan supporter described Campbell’s action as “deplorable.”

“The blatant misinformation that just shoved out of his mouth and using the domestic abuse of a woman, specifically as a Black woman, as a gag or a facetime is deplorable,” she said.

Campbell continued to catch a lot more heat on Twitter.

Lanez is charged with assault with a semiautomatic handgun; carrying a loaded, unregistered firearm in a vehicle; and discharging a firearm with gross negligence, as Blavity previously reported. The trial is expected to end in the coming days.
