In a Moviehole interview with actor Danny Trejo from a few days ago, he revealed that Zoe Saldana has joined the cast of Robert Rodriguez' sequel to Machete titled Machete Kills. Trejo said Kills will be more over-the-top than its predecessor about an ex-federale who goes on a rampage for revenge and that shooting will begin in approximately three weeks.

Apparently, Colombian sexpot Sofia Vergara, Jessica Alba and Machete star Michelle Rodriguez may have also joined.

Trejo said, "The sequel to Machete, Machete Kills is going to be a lot more over-the-top than Machete. We’ve got Sofia Vergara, who is a star in her own right, Jessica Alba, Michelle Rodriguez, and Zoe Saldana – and guess what? I get to kiss all of ‘em.”

I've never seen Machete but I'm certainly more curious to see it now. I don't recall it being a hit necessarily, perhaps a cult one?
