The #InMyFeelings challenge has swept the internet, and while we love Drake, we’re all Kiki’d out. Black musicians have been singing about their feels and emotions for decades.

Here are a few songs that always have us in a swimming pool of our feelings.

1. "Thinkin Bout You" — Frank Ocean

As we grow gray hairs waiting for Frank to give us another album, it’s always nice to reminisce with this bop from his first album. It sounds even better live.

2. "End of the Road" — Boyz II Men

You’ve probably heard this song at many a graduation, or maybe you’ve belted it off-key with friends, but you still get verklempt every dang time. This will always be the ultimate goodbye song.

3. "Breakdown" — Mariah Carey ft. Krayzie Bone and Wish Bone

Although the music video is gorgeous, the song itself is depressing. It’s perfect to cry along to when you’re going through a breakup. At least, that’s what a friend told us.

4. "Ex-Factor"  — Lauryn Hill

Even though punctuality ain’t her strong suit, Lauryn Hill put her foot in this song. “Ex-Factor” is so iconic it has been sampled in two hit songs in 2018 alone.

5. "Marvin’s Room" — Drake

Before he was asking for Kiki’s love, Drake was sleeping in Marvin’s room. This song is dangerous because after one too many you’ll be leaving your ex some weepy voicemails.

6. "Resentment" — BeyoncéThis song reeks of adultery and heartbreak, and Twitter can't seem to let it go.

7. "Caught Out There" — Kelis

Most breakup songs are sad and sappy, but Kelis broke that mold. This song is full of pure, unadulterated rage. Just don’t break anything while you listen. Blavity is not responsible for Kelis-induced shenanigans.

8. "Alright" — Kendrick Lamar

Being black in this political climate is exhausting. K.Dot made a song that perfectly captures that fatigue and gives us hope that s**t will truly be alright.

9. "Bust Your Windows" — Jazmine Sullivan

This is another song that makes you wanna wreck something, in this case, issa car. Thankfully, listening to this song won’t make you catch a case. Please, leave the bat in your garage, and sing instead.

10. "Don’t Let Go" — En Vogue

If you didn’t yell-sing each member’s part in your room when you were like 10-years-old, are you indeed a '90s child? This song had us all mad at Mekhi Phifer or crying about Set It Off all over again, depending on which version of the video you watched.

11. "Real Love" — Mary J. Blige

We’re all fans of Auntie Mary’s dancing, but she’s made enough songs about feels to create a separate list. This one right here, though? A classic!

12. "I Will Always Love You" — Whitney Houston

This song has always administered a heavy dose of feels, but when they played this song at Whitney’s funeral, it took us out. That final beat drop still gives us chills.

13. "All My Life" — K-Ci and JoJo

Before #relationshipgoals were a thing, this song was on everyone’s playlist. Everyone wanted their lil boo to love on them like this. Not to mention, K-Ci and JoJo could sing the alphabet and make it sound intense, so we FELT this song.

14. "Can You Stand the Rain" — New Edition

They had us at “nayhoooooo.” Any song that starts with that is bound to be fire. This song makes us want to risk our edges and run through a shower without an umbrella.

15. "The Arms of the One Who Loves You" — Xscape

Before Kandi was a housewife, she was a member of the highly successful Xscape, and this is our JAM. We were little when it came out, but when Tamika breaks down on that “never, never, never..” Whoo chile…the feels.

Blavity fam, what songs leave you in a pile of your emotions?
