All you Game Of Thrones fans, your beloved fantasy series returns to TV (HBO) this Sunday, March 31.

The 3rd season of the hit series will feature a dozen or so new faces, and I thought I’d take a second to highlight those of African descent, so you can watch for them.
First, Nathalie Emmanuel, a British actress who will be playing child slave Missandei, who works as a translator for Kraznys in Astapor, and is a servant of Daenerys Targaryen – the daughter of King Aerys II Targaryen and one of the last surviving members of House Targaryen (I’m sure all of that means something to those who’ve been keeping up with the series).
A little digging revealed that the 23 year old actress has done mostly TV in the UK, and may be best known for her role in the Channel 4 soap opera Hollyoaks, which she was on from 2006 to 2010.
She also appeared in one episode of Misfits, season 3.
So this may be Nathalie’s highest-profile role to date (depending on how much screen time her character gets, of course) giving her some international exposure.
Second, and last (but not least), is another young Brit, Jacob Anderson, who’ll be playing a character named Grey Worm, described as the leader of a group of eunuch slave soldiers called The Unsullied.
Anderson is probably best known for starring as Omen in fellow Brit Noel Clarke’s dramatic film Adulthood. He also co-starred in another Noel Clarke film, 4.3.2.1.
He’s appeared on episodes of Skins, and has also done some stage work in London, including roles in productions of King Lear at the Young Vic Theatre, and War Horse (at the National Theatre).
He was last seen seen in the teen slasher film Demons Never Die, which was produced by another Brit, Idris Elba.
By all accounts, like Nathalie Emmanuel, this should be his highest-profile role to date (again, depending on how much screen time he actually gets), giving him some international exposure.
Anderson’s character will first appear in this Sunday’s episode – season 3, episode 1. According to IMDB, that appears to be the only episode he’ll be in. But we’ll see.
Of course we know what happened to Nonso Anozie’s character at the end of last season of the series. And there was Lucian Msamati as well, the second of two new black faces on the series last year. His character, Salladhor Saan, was only in one episode that I recall.
