Tyler Perry Studio’s drama series All The Queen’s Men is making its return to BET+, and the upcoming season is expected to be just as explosive as the one before.
As described by the network, “the drama centers around the life of “Marilyn ‘Madam’ DeVille,” played by Eva Marcille. Madam is a fierce businesswoman who is at the top of her game in the nightclub industry and surrounded by a band of trusted employees who are down to make sure that she is successful. But Madam, a self-proclaimed boss, soon discovers that more money and more power means more problems. Will Madam retain reign as she navigates this dangerous and sexy society? Will the sensuous world of exotic dancing cost Madam her queendom and potentially her life?”
In addition to Marcille, the series also stars Christian Keyes, Skyh Alvester Black, Candace Maxwell, Michael “Bolo’ Bolwaire, Keith Swift Jr., Racquel Palmer, Dion Rome and Jeremy “Masterpiece” Williams.
Season 2 will see Madam on a vengeance to find her money.
Not only will viewers see Madam do whatever is necessary to find her money, they will also witness her entertain a new love interest. The new season will also include some baby mama drama, a blast from the past making an unexpected visit, as well as a new dancer joining Club Eden.
Bringing a multifaceted character like Madam to life has been important to Marcille.
“You never see women and not just even Black, just women, period, with this level of power on screen and truth,” Eva Marcille previously told Shadow and Act when we chatted with her about season 1. “And if you do see them in power, it’s usually a one-sided thing. They’re either evil or it’s never the full, multifaceted woman who is thought to [be] charismatic, who was also ruthless, who has a plan, who was the rebel, who was educated. The script just unveiled the truth about a culture and a community and a world and a person that I know. I know her. My grandmother was her. My mom, my aunts are her. I just wanted to be able to bring that to this character and do justice.”
All The Queen’s Men season 2 premieres July 14 on BET+.
