Toymaker Emperis recently unveiled a new Idris Elba doll, and fans are ridiculing the effort, The Daily Mail reports.
The doll comes dressed in a nice sports jacket and jeans and features Elba's goatee. However, it also has some characteristics the actor isn't known for, including a bald head. Critics of the doll, which costs £850 (around $1,100), also found fault with its "evil" looking eyes.
Online, commenters compared the doll's likeness to Montel Williams and Romany Malco, among others:

Elba hasn't commented on the doll. Perhaps he's being busy reveling in his new title as People's "Sexiest Man Alive."
The Independent reports Emperis has defended its work. A spokesperson said the doll has been a huge hit, and the company's Facebook page claims fewer than 20 of the toys remain.
