LaKeith Stanfield is known to cause quite a stir on social media, and this time is no different. The Atlanta actor recently took to Instagram to show some love to his girlfriend, but this post, unlike others, was a little different.
In the Instagram post, Stanfield was seen holding hands with girlfriend Kasmere Trice. He captioned the photo “Roma Romance,” and in the snap, which Stanfield has since deleted, Trice appeared to be wearing a diamond on her ring finger. One could only speculate that this was some sort of subliminal engagement announcement.
It didn’t take long before beloved fans of the Sorry to Bother You actor either sent congratulatory messages or were completely collapsed in disappointment.

Well, fans of LaKeith Stanfield can breathe a sigh of relief — for now. According to Vibe, a rep for the 31-year-old Oscar-nominated actor tells the outlet that he is not engaged to be married.
Although he took down the original photo that caused the commotion, Stanfield did replace it with another photo of him and his lady love. This time he captioned it with a simple plant emoji and turned off commenting capabilities.
At least this time, fans can see the diamond ring is on her right hand.

Although she’s also private, Trice’s Instagram page gives fans a slightly closer look at her romance with Stanfield. She’s posted photos and videos of the pair cuddled up, and it appears the pear-shaped ring has switched fingers again.

Even though they aren’t engaged, it definitely looks like things are getting pretty serious between the two. Trice recently hinted at the couple possibly living together, captioning a recent photo “framing this in our home” and tagging Stanfield.
