Professional gymnast Simone Biles is getting married to Jonathan Owens.
The 7-time Olympic medalist announced her engagement via an Instagram post with part of the caption reading, “THE EASIEST YES.”
And Biles wasn’t the only one excited to hear the news. Fans quickly poured into the comments section, filling it with congratulations and well wishes.
And as for the soon-to-be groom himself? He posted a series of pictures celebrating their relationship and engagement, including behind-the-scenes footage of how he made it happen.
But this isn’t the first time he’s gushed over the superstar athlete. In an interview with Texas Monthly, Jonathan Owens discusses his now fiance, saying, “Her energy is something. She’s always happy, giggly, bubbly. If I’ve had a tough day at the office, I wouldn’t want to take that home to her. Her personality, man ….”

In 2021, Owens sat down for an interview with Texas Monthly. He explains how the pandemic shaped their relationship, saying, “We ended up hanging out right before the pandemic.”
“It was one of the few times in her life where everything was just shut off, and she couldn’t do anything. So we used it to get to know each other—really get to know each other. It created our bond and made it stronger. Now I’m so thankful,” he said.

Owens, a towering safety for the NFL, may look intimidating. But actually, Owens is far from it. In fact, in an interview with Today, Biles explains why she loves him, saying, “He’s a real man. I love him. We have a great time together.”
“Our personalities match right up. We have the same sense of humor. He’s just great,” she added.
Even better, he and Biles both love dogs. And fortunately, when Biles introduced her two bulldogs to Owens’ one, the three dogs hit it off immediately.
“I’ll show up at her house and her dogs will peek around her looking for my dog. They’ve become best friends,” Owens said.

“I try to be her motivating factor whenever I sense that she’s kind of maybe getting down on herself. If practice was a little rough, or your body may not be feeling great right now,” he added.
