Barack Obama is celebrating his 30th wedding anniversary with another heartfelt message to his beloved wife Michelle. The former president went to Twitter on Monday to commemorate the special day with sentimental words and a pair of classic photos.

One of the pictures shows the couple enjoying their vacation together, while the other photo captures the pair smiling gleefully on their wedding day.

“Miche, After 30 years, I’m not sure why you look exactly the same and I don’t. I do know that I won the lottery that day— that I couldn’t have asked for a better life partner. Happy anniversary, sweetheart!” the 44th president wrote.

Michelle gave her own anniversary tribute on Twitter.

“Happy anniversary to the man I love!” the former first lady wrote. “These last 30 years have been an adventure, and I’m grateful to have you by my side. Here’s to a lifetime together. I love you, Barack Obama.”

Michelle also included a wedding day photo and a picture of the couple enjoying a beach trip.

Obama dedicated another anniversary tribute on Instagram, adding a heartwarming photo that shows the pair’s name etched in a heart on the beach.

According to People, Barack and Michelle married in 1992 after dating for three years. The couple first met in Chicago.

At that time, Michelle was mentoring her future husband during a summer internship at a law firm.

“After several years of dating, Michelle and I were married at Trinity United Church of Christ on October 3, 1992, with more than three hundred of our friends, colleagues, and family members crammed happily into the pews,” Barack wrote in his 2020 memoir, A Promised Land.
