It’s likely no one anticipated Beyoncé and Jay-Z coming out of nowhere to release an album.

The Carters released their first joint album, Everything is Love, Saturday, during the middle of a London concert on their On The Run II tour. In addition, a visual for their first single "Apesh*t" dropped, too. The power couple shut down the Louvre to showcase their love, wealth and influence in the Ricky Saiz-directed video shot last month, according to BuzzFeed.

“You’ve all given so much love every time we come here — thank you. Because we love you all so much we have something special for y’all,” Beyoncé told the crowd at the concert. “We want you guys to be the first to experience this new project. And we have a new visual for you guys. We want you all to countdown — 10, 9, 8…”

For the last two years, Beyoncé and Jay-Z have worked out their relationship issues on two of the most popular records in the last decade. Beyoncé's 2016 album Lemonade was an ode to black women that detailed her personal pain dealing with Hov's infidelity. In 2017, Jay-Z released 4:44 confirming many of the allegations while also commenting on life as a black man in America.

Everything is Love is a nine-track Tidal exclusive, as of now, which combines both of their talents and previous discussions.

Folks on Twitter couldn’t help but point out how it was supposed to be a big weekend for Nas. His latest album, Nasir, a collaboration with Kanye West, was supposed to be a return to form for him. But, no, the Carters dropped their album and stole all of his momentum.

Needless to say, the Carters’ album gave people on Twitter life. Folks just can't get enough of Beyoncé's surprise releases.
