Last night, Colin Kaepernick took another win as he geared up to receive Sports Illustrated's Muhammad Ali Legacy Award. This was, by far, a well-deserved honor, however, we were in for a surprise that would send the internet into a frenzy.

Beyoncé made a surprise appearance to be the one to present the award. Her speech took a moment to highlight the character and power of Kaepernick and his protest.

“Thank you, Colin Kaepernick,” she said. “Thank you for your selfless heart, and your conviction. Thank you for your personal sacrifice. Colin took action with no fear of consequence or repercussion only hope to change the world for the better. To change perception, to change the way we treat each other, especially people of color who are still waiting for the world to catch up."

She also took a moment to point out the way his protest had been twisted.

"It's been said that racism is so American that when we protest racism, some assume we’re protesting America."

Upon receiving the award, Kaepernick shared sentiments of gratefulness, further explaining why it is an honor to receive and be compared to Muhammad Ali.

“I accept this award knowing that the legacy of Muhammad Ali is that of a champion of the people and one who was affectionately known as the people’s champ," he said. "I accept this award not for myself but on behalf of the people because if it were not for my love for the people, I would not have protested. And if it was not for the support from the people, I would not be on this stage today."

"With or without the NFL’s platform," he concludes. "I will continue to work for the people because my platform is the people.”

Of course, white America is shooketh and seething that the highest paid woman in music and leader of pop culture would come and praise Colin Kaepernick. However, y'all tried boycotting her before and we see how that worked out. The masses of us are happy and amazed to see the support as we know both Bey and Kaepernick will go down in history with legendary status.

Congrats, Colin! You deserve everything that's coming your way.
