Michelle Obama's birthday ought to be a national holiday, and Beyoncé has kindly reminded us to treat it as such. Queen Bey posted an Instagram tribute to Obama in honor of the day she was born, January 17, 1964.

The post features a black-and-white photo of the former FLOTUS as a child, with the words "Bow Down" written across the image in pink.

HuffPost reports some fans hoped the post was an album announcement. Beyoncé, however, did not respond to the speculations. The words emblazoned across the photo come from a song on her self-titled fifth solo album, "Bow Down/I Been On."

Mrs. Carter wasn't the only one to shoutout the former FLOTUS for her birthday. Her hubby, Barack Obama, also shared an Instagram post honoring his wife.

"I knew it way back then and I’m absolutely convinced of it today — you’re one of a kind, @MichelleObama. Happy Birthday," the caption read.

The mother of two has a lot to celebrate on her 55th birthday. According to Business Insider, Obama's memoir Becoming has already broken the record set by Fifty Shades of Grey as the book with the longest run at the top Amazon best-seller list.

Other celebs and politicians also took to social media to share some birthday love:

Happy Birthday, Michelle!
