Billionaire activist Tom Steyer isn't a big fan of President Donald Trump. Now, has put his money where his mouth is by unleashing an ad urging politicians in Washington D.C. to bring charges of impeachment against President Trump.
The San Francisco-based businessman has had the ad up and running on YouTube since Thursday, October 9. It has racked up some 1.1 million views and counting.
But YouTube wasn't enough. Steyer, who is behind the website Need To Impeach, shelled out $10 million to have the ad run on conservative network Fox News. The anti-Trump ad first ran during the Friday, October 27 edition of Fox & Friends, according to Ad Age.
In the 1-minute video, Steyer makes his case for impeachment, accusing the president of acting recklessly, and perhaps even illegally.
"Donald Trump has brought us to the brink of nuclear war, obstructed justice, and taken money from foreign governments," Steyer said passionately. "We need to impeach this dangerous president. Sign on now."
Steyer also took time to recall the Clinton years.
"A Republican Congress once impeached a president for far less," Steyer says in the video, "Yet today, people in Congress and his own administration know that this president is a clear and present danger … and they do nothing."
It would seem that the president himself was watching on Friday. Shortly after the ad aired, he responded using his preferred method for answering his critics: Twitter.
Wacky & totally unhinged Tom Steyer, who has been fighting me and my Make America Great Again agenda from beginning, never wins elections!

Although the president had nothing nice to say about Steyer, he was able to summon some kindness for the Fox & Friends crew.
Thank you @foxandfriends. Really great job and show!
