The founder of Black Girls Rock! youth empowerment mentoring organization and creator of the popular awards show on BET released big news this week.
Beverly Bond says she is publishing a book.
The book entitled, “Black Girls Rock!: Celebrating the Power, Beauty and Brilliance of Black Women” will be released by Atria Publishing Group imprint 37 INK and promises to “combine powerful photography with inspirational advice, original poetry, and affirmations to showcase the complexity, dynamism, achievements and diverse cultural traditions of Black women from around the world.”
Bond is excited about her new journey as an author and the message that comes across in the book. “This book will affirm, elevate, and celebrate the unique narratives and rich experiences of Black women and girls around the world for generations to come,” she said in a statement to Entertainment Weekly.
Congratulations to Beverly Bond on continuing to exude black girl magic and providing positive narratives about black women. Be on the look out for her book hitting shelves in the Fall of 2017.
