Recent Colin Kaepernick critic and former Ravens star Ray Lewis has decided to jump on the bandwagon and take a knee after President Donald Trump condemned NFL players for doing so.

In the past month, Lewis has claimed that Kaepernick went unsigned to a team because of a tweet his girlfriend posted.

The tweet compared Lewis to Stephen from Quentin Tarantino's Django Unchained holding on to Candide as he died to that of the relationship Lewis had with the Ravens owner. In an attempt to insinuate that Lewis had a house negro love affair with owner Steve Bisciotti, Kap's prospect of being signed went out of the window.

During an appearance from earlier this month Showtime's Inside the NFL, Lewis gave his reasoning for why the deal did not happen.

"Then, his girl [Colin Kaepernick's girlfriend] goes out and put out this racist gesture and doesn't know we are in the back office about to try to get this guy signed. Steve Bisciotti has said it himself, 'How can you crucify Ray Lewis when Ray Lewis is the one calling for Colin Kaepernick?' …

"When they (Ravens) called me, it was to say, 'Yes or no?' … We were going to close the deal to sign him … Steve Bisciotti said, 'I want to hear Colin Kaepernick speak to let me know that he wants to play football.' … And it never happens because that picture comes up the next day. "

This past month was not the only time Lewis discredited Kaepernick's protest. He has gone toe-to-toe with Fox Sports One's Shannon Sharpe several times over the course of a year debating the merits of the protests. And in those live discussions, Lewis dismissed Kaep's charitable works that went along with the protests.

So when Lewis decided to take two knees today at the Jaguars and Ravens game in London, Twitter unloaded.

Many people echoed Jemele Hill's sentiments.

Now that Lewis has joined the #TakeTheKnee movement, will he change his tune on Kaep or will he keep singing the same song?
