Raise your hand if satin-lined bonnets changed your natural hair for the better forever.

Well, now the satin game has been leveled up in the dopest way possible thanks to 26-year-old musician Smino. With Smino's Zero Fatigue's satin-hooded hoodies, your locks don't have to wait until bedtime to get their peak moisturizing session — that hair can glow-up while you're simply chillin'!

Smino recently sat with us to talk about the inspiration behind the hoodies, how he's responded to the viral Twitter reaction to his invention and getting to tour with SZA.

Smino describes the hoodies as "looking good with function." The satin-lining protects your scalp, and since it's a cozy hoodie, you can go ahead and take a nap in the middle of the day without having to worry about putting on a satin bonnet. "If you got hair, if you don't got hair, a low-cut … it's 'gonna work out nicely. Plus, it's hella warm," Smino noted.

Clutch!

So, what was his inspiration behind the hoodies?

"Sh*t, I got a lot of hair on my head," the St. Louis-bred artist who currently lives in Chicago said. "I tour a lot — I toured with SZA last year — and usually my girl does my hair, but she wasn't with me!"

Smino noted that he rocked du-rags a lot while on the road and wanted to combine those with his love of hoodies … and voila! Black Boy Magic. Smino started making the hoodies last year.

Another thing that's dope about these hoodies are that they're unisex and gender-inclusive.

"Sh*t, a hoodie is a hoodie!" Smino exclaimed.

Smino also gave us some insight on Zero Fatigue, which is a music-collective he founded in 2014 with a few of his homies. "[Zero Fatigue] was planned as a lifestyle," Smino said.

Once Smino posted the tweet announcing the satin-hooded hoodies, Twitter went wild for them!

When we asked the artist what his favorite Twitter reaction has been, he said that there were so many to choose from, but one of his favorites was from Twitter user @angryblackthot.

"Then a bunch of my fans put her onto my music and she then became a fan of my music," said Smino.

Along with touring with SZA — who he described as "hella cool," — the viral success of his tweet has definitely helped his music career:

These joints are so popular, they're currently sold out! But don't worry, Smino confirmed with us that he is making more styles soon!

"It's 'gonna be fly as hell. 'Gonna be superfly. Got a bunch of new color waves [coming soon]," he said.
