We love to pay homage, especially to a deserving queen. But if you're going to pay homage, make sure you're not infringing on copyright, or the queen won't hesitate to sue you.
According to PitchFork.com, LineUp Brewing in Brooklyn reportedly received a cease and desist letter for their beer inspired by Beyoncé. The can is a play on the iconic self-titled album logo (which ironically turns four today!).

Owner Katarina Martinez said she was inspired to brew it after she missed one of Beyoncé’s concerts despite having tickets.
“As a Hispanic, female-run business, I am very inspired by her so I thought I’d pay homage,” Martinez says. “We’re disappointed she didn’t take it as a compliment, but oh well. It was fun while it lasted!”
While Bïeryoncé was a super cute attempt, any seasoned member of the Beyhive could spot this outcome coming from a mile away. Despite being the richest woman in music, mama needs all her coins.
This is cute until she hit y’all with that good ole cease and desist order lol https://t.co/1tSNrg7tpr
