Some people really think Wakanda is a real African nation.
In the latest issue of British Airways' in-flight magazine High Life, someone messed up big time.
The magazine featured a '11 Best Dressed' list that included actress Lupita Nyong’o— as it should have— but when it listed the actress' place of origin, Wakanda was placed next to her name instead of Mexico. Every other entertainer had a real location placed next to their names except for Nyong'o who was born in Mexico and raised in Kenya.
Twitter did not take the mistake lightly. Users ridiculed and mocked the magazine for the obvious mistake.

See how they didn't indicate where Wakanda is located? Because it's a secluded African country and very few people know where it is.

Go easy guys, it could have been worse- they could've listed her country as "Africa". At least someone attempted to be specific… ????

Nyong'o will star in the 2018 Marvel film Black Panther, directed by Ryan Coogler, which is set in the fictional world of Wakanda. The fictional African nation is the most technologically advanced and richest nation in the Marvel cinematic universe.
And it is certainly not a real country. Maybe the magazine was trying to be cute and list Wakanda as a nod to the upcoming film. Either way, the airlines have not commented on the uproar.
