Bronny James Posts Photos Wearing Ohio State Buckeyes Uniform After Official Recruiting Visit

Ohio State welcomed Chatsworth, California, Sierra Canyon four-star player Bronny James and his parents, NBA superstar LeBron and Savannah James, for an official visit over the weekend.

On Saturday, Bronny and his parents attended Ohio State’s game where they won 21-10 over Notre Dame.

The James family watched the team’s 21-10 victorious win from a suite at Ohio Stadium. They were also recognized on the sideline before the game, mingling with other recruits and coaches in attendance.

As reported to Sports Illustrated, LeBron and his wife, Savannah, are sure their son, Bronny, is headed toward a college basketball career rather than playing NBA G-League, Overtime Elite, an overseas league, or other professional options in 2023-2024.

“Bronny wants to have a college career,” Savannah said. “I think it would be really cool for him to start with collegiate basketball, just to start his legacy there.”

LeBron agrees and believes his son “wants to go the college route.”

To carry on tradition during official visits, Bronny — who is said to be the 10th-best combo guard and No. 41 prospect overall in the 2023 class — captured some lovely photos in the Buckeyes’ 1980s throwback uniforms.

“buckeye nation? #notcommitted,” he captioned his post on Tuesday, sharing the photos on Twitter and Instagram.

Could Bronny follow the footsteps his father wanted to take, had he attended college?

As LeBron stands conspicuously in one of the photos, we can recall him saying that looking back, he would have attended Ohio State if he didn’t head straight to the NBA.

“If I would have had one year of college, I would have ended up down here in Columbus at Ohio State,” LeBron told the crowd at St. John Arena in 2013. “No matter where I go in the world, I will always rock Ohio State colors.”

In the family photo, Savannah James is also photographed sporting a Buckeyes basketball T-shirt.

As told by SI.com, at the moment, Ohio State holds three commitments in the class of 2023: Wichita Kansas Sunrise Christian Academy, four-star forward Scotty Middleton; Pinkerton Ohio Central four-star forward, Devin Royal and St. Marys Ohio Memorial four-star center, Austin Parks.

The Buckeyes can bring on as many as five players this period, with James and Totino-Grace, a four-star guard from Minneapolis, and Taison Chatman at the top of the list of remaining choices for head coach Chris Holtmann and his staff.
