Businesswoman Valencia Love is experiencing the repercussions of supporting R. Kelly.
Love’s businesses have received several verbal and digital attacks since reports circulated that she was the one to bail the purportedly perverted Pied Piper out of Cook County Jail last week.
Eater Chicago reports her restaurant, Love on the Blu, was inundated with negative Yelp reviews from Kelly’s critics.
“The owner supports a pedophile…I would never support such a place,” wrote one reviewer.
“I really don’t need to frequent a restaurant whose owner is OK with bailing out R Kelly…Bad, bad move, lady,” stated another.
The hoopla resulted in Yelp disabling the comment section to get rid of comments related to the case. The restaurant’s current rating is three out of five stars.
Lordanchild, a daycare reportedly associated with Love, is also experiencing blowback from her actions.
Several bomb threats were called into the facility, reports WBBM’s Brad Edwards. The threats resulted in a temporary evacuation and a visit from a bomb and arson squad. No explosives were found at the scene, and the Chicago Police Department is investigating the incident, according to TMZ. Although Love is still a “registered agent” at the daycare, its owner insists she doesn’t work there.
“She didn’t really work here, she was just on my board,” the owner told The Daily Beast.
The attention is taking a toll on Lordanchild and its staff.
“We’re not trying to hurt anybody. I’m just an innocent victim trying to run a business. People are saying all kinds of things. We’re going to bomb you. Why would you bail him out. All sorts of things,” they said. “Valencia Love doesn’t work here. She hasn’t since 2015… It’s like Trump says, they’re spreading fake news. I love the man. He may hate me because I’m Black, but guess what, I love him because he honors the word of God.”
Love found herself at the center of Kelly’s controversy when she admitted she bailed the accused sexual predator out of jail.
#RKelly’s friend that bailed him out breaks her silence. I spoke with Valencia P. Love for 14 minutes. She says the singer isn’t broke and she didn’t use her $100,000 for Kelly to bounce from the county. Here are notes from our conversation by phone. @fox32news

"I wasn't there, you wasn't there. Give him the chance and allow him to prove his innocence," Love told journalist Tia Ewing. "He's not a monster, he's not […] He's only been a gentleman to me."
