Update: The network has now announced renewals for 9-1-1 and The Resident as deals have officially closed.
Fox has greenlit several fan-favorites series for new seasons, including the Call Me Kat and 9-1-1: Lone Star.
Charlie Collier, CEO of Fox Entertainment just announced its new program slate for the 2022-23 season. ahead of the network’s upfronts presentation.
In addition to Call Me Kat and 9-1-1: Lone Star, the network has also renewed Welcome To Flatch. Joining these hit comedy and drama shows are unscripted series The Masked Singer and Crime Scene Kitchen.
Ahead of Monday’s announcement, drama series The Cleaning Lady and unscripted juggernaut Hell’s Kitchen were already renewed.
The network is expanding its content strategy with increased program ownership.
With several show renews an a few new series being added to its lineup, Fox is looking to drive growth and fuel thematic scheduling across network and streaming.
“FOX Entertainment enters the Upfront – a week literally built for broadcasters to align with advertisers – as the only company, no matter the platform, with advertising at its core. Advertisers have been our focus since the start of this company, and we’re proud that this too is proof of FOX’s differentiation,” Collier said in a statement received by S&A. “As you’ll see during our presentation, building barriers between our best content and our brand-partners simply isn’t our business model.”
Fox has yet to unveil its official fall schedule.
The official schedule has not been locked in yet and the status of certain series, including The Resident and 9-1-1, are still up in the air.
