Cardi B has swooped in to defend her boo. The rapper went on Periscope to rant about the criticism her fiancé, Offset of Migos, has received over a lyric that includes the word "queer," the New York Daily News reports.

Last week, Offset came under fire for the lyric "I cannot vibe with queers" on his feature on YFN Life's "Boss Life."  Offset apologized, using queer's dictionary definition to explain why he chose to use the word in the first place. Folks weren't buying it, and accused him of being homophobic.

In her video, Cardi offers her thoughts on the matter, saying, "[Offset] treats [members of the LGBTQ community] with the same respect he treats everybody. He never acts uncomfortable and he just don’t care.”

She maintained that this was proof that Offset is not at all homophobic. “I’m not going to let somebody call him ‘homophobic’ when I know that he’s not,” Cardi B said.

She also echoed the claim that Offset didn't know the word "queer" was associated with the LGBTQ community, and called for that community to "educate" those who are ignorant instead of being quick to "bash bash bash."

However, many Black Twitter users within the LGBTQ community weren't pleased with Cardi's statement and clapped back at the rapper:

The words of Cardi's critics seem destined to fall on deaf ears, however. "I know that I'm making a perfect point," the rapper said in her video, "I'm so tired of the arguing and the back-and-forths, and the debates. What is the point of the debates … I said what I said."
