Cardi B faced felony and misdemeanor charges following a brawl at a New York strip club in 2018 and although the 29-year-old Grammy award winner dodged some serious jail time by pleading guilty to third-degree assault, second-degree reckless endangerment, and agreeing to 15 days of community service, the lengthy court battle has had even more consequences than she could ever anticipate.

Though she can now put the daunting case behind her, the businesswoman is still reflecting on how it impacted her income.

As a cautionary tale, Cardi B took to Twitter to share with fans that she lost a multi-million deal with video game franchise, Call of Duty, due to her poor decisions.

“My stupid decisions from the past caused me to miss out on money now,” Cardi wrote. “I had a multi-million dollar Call of Duty deal on the table that I couldn’t take because of court. Guys, think twice about those quick decisions! Lesson learned.”

Obviously, fans were disappointed to learn a CoD and Cardi B collaboration was no longer in the works.

“Aww Cardi, this [is] why you gotta let stop letting these nobodies get you upset. They would love to have the opportunities that you have,” one fan tweeted.

Some fans suggested that Call of Duty and the rapper reschedule.

Do you think there’s a chance you can close the deal again,” one fan asked.

Another fan suggested Call of Duty “renegotiate the deal.”

Cardi responded to the tweet, explaining further why her collaboration with Call of Duty fell through.

“I couldn’t make it cause of court couple weeks ago,” she explained. “I wasn’t able to do the shoot on time.”

Call of Duty has not publicly addressed the situation but we can’t help but wonder what could have been.
