Update (June 21, 2019): Cardi B has been charged with two felonies for her alleged involvement in an altercation at a New York night club last summer.

Belcalis “Cardi B” Almanzar originally faced misdemeanor charges related to the fight. However, two felony charges were added after she rejected a plea deal that would have given her a conditional discharge.

Prosecutors have not said officially what the charges are, but the Associated Press reports that the two felony charges are for attempted assault.

The best-selling artist and her team have previously refuted her involvement in the alleged assault.

The incident allegedly occurred last August. On August 29, Cardi was at Angel's Strip Club in Queens while her husband, Offset, performed at the club.

Two sisters who worked at the club as waitresses, Rachel Wattley and Sarah Wattley, were allegedly attacked by Cardi and her crew after the rap superstar allegedly accused Rachel of sleeping with Offset.

Video footage from the incident shows Cardi B allegedly throwing hookah and glasses at the two waitresses while members of her entourage threw chairs and bottles.

Both sisters said they were injured in the attack, but they refused medical attention. A judge ordered Cardi to stay away from the two women at a hearing in December. Two of the 26-year-old rap star’s friends were also indicted for their participation in the brawl.

There will be another hearing in the case on Tuesday.

On Monday, Bardi walked into the 109th Precinct in Queens, New York to answer to misdemeanors connected to a late August fight with two bartenders at Angel’s Gentleman’s Club, according to Page Six. She walked in at 9:30 am and was out by noon.

The bartenders, sisters Jade and Baddie Gi, claim the “Drip” rapper ordered a hit on them because of a rumor one of them had sex with her husband, Offset. The sisters claim Cardi threw a hookah and glasses at them while members of her entourage hurled chairs and bottles. Both bartenders were injured during the melee but refused medical attention.

A source said the Bronx native turned herself so she could “claim her name and innocence.”

Cardi was charged with two counts of reckless endangerment and one count of third-degree assault. Her court date is scheduled for October 29. According to TMZ, Cardi denied any involvement in the fight even though she was there the night it popped off.  She reportedly said she doesn't believe Offset ever slept with either of the sisters and dismissed them as “clout chasers."

The rapper's lawyer Jeff Kern defended his client’s innocence as they walked out of the station.

"We are not aware of any evidence that she caused anybody any harm at the club that night," Kern said. "We expect that the matter is going to be resolved expeditiously."
