Cardi B is making money moves and breaking records at the same time.
The new year has only begun, and the rapper is on track to having four top hits on the Hot 100 Top 10. She started the year off with a collaboration with Bruno Mars on the remix of his hit "Finesse" from his 2016 album, 24K Magic. The chart topper appears to be headed for the top five on next week's Billboard Hot 100 chart on Jan. 20.
The "Finesse" remix was released Jan. 4 and it quickly took the Internet by storm when the 1990s-inspired video landed. With its cool vibrant colors, baggy retro outfits and dope dance moves, fans of both artists fell in love with the cleverly crafted homage to "In Living Color."
The remix is currently on track to garner 30 million U.S. streams and 40 million in radio audience. It can also sell more than 75,000 downloads sending the song soaring from No. 35 to the top five.
Billboard reports that Cardi B would notch her fourth Hot 100 Top 10 if her three hits currently in the top 10 can all stay put. When "Finesse" joins the others, she will be the first female artist ever to chart four simultaneous Hot 100 top 10s. This achievement puts her in the same company as the Beatles.
As of Saturday, she ranks at No. 5 as featured (with A$AP Rocky) on G-Eazy's "No Limit"; at No. 8 with Migos and Nicki Minaj on "MotorSport"; and at No. 10 with her own former No. 1 "Bodak Yellow (Money Moves)."
For all of those who said Cardi B was a one-hit wonder, they have some explaining to do.
