Cardi B Says The #MeToo Movement Needs To Fight For All Women -- Video Vixens And Strippers, Too

Stand up for every regular degular girl

Our favorite girl who tells it like it is has spoken up again.

In an Instagram post on Tuesday, Cardi B pointed out what she sees to be as hypocrisy in the #MeToo movement and has demanded folks keep it real and support all women or admit their biases.

“There’s a lot of video vixens and urban models that get bribe by man, photographers, directors… like ‘if you want to be the lead girl in his video, or if you want to be in this magazine you need to do this and that.’ Most likely something sexual and when the woman speak up nobody cares,” Cardi said.

“Since they are vixens or model for urban they are consider a Hoe but these are the same woman ya love watching and be making this music videos…" she added. "A lot of woman out here always talking about equality and feminism but ya want to have a standard on what ya should stand for. You should stand and respect all type of woman. Lawyer, doctor, video vixen, stripper, stand up for all. You are no better than anybody else.”

These comments piggyback off of her recent interview with Cosmopolitan where she detailed the criticisms she received from many after news of Offset’s infidelity became public. Cardi B emphasized that she would not be changing how she acts to please anyone or fit the public “commercial appeal” of the #MeToo movement.

Cardi can relate her own experiences as an often stigmatized worker and the backlash she received from other women because of it.

“People say ‘why do you always got to say that you used to be a stripper? We get it,'" Cardi said. "Because y’all don’t respect me because of it, and y’all going to respect these strippers from now on."
