AHS: Hotel - CampbellIf you tuned in to last night’s season premiere episode of "American Horror Story: Hotel," you probably wondered a couple of things: whether show creator/producer Ryan Murphy may be trying to one-up Lee Daniels in terms of how sensational he can be; and secondly, when Angela Bassett and Naomi Campbell will the first appearances, since neither did last night.

I don’t have an answer for either question; but what I can share is the below new season preview which, for the first time, gives us a look at Naomi Campbell’s character, a Vogue magazine editor who decides to stay at the hotel and ends up regretting it. “She’s kind of outlandish,” said Campbell while doing press for the series before its premiere yesterday, adding, “She thinks she’s indestructible and nothing’s going to hurt her.”

No sign of Bassett in this trailer though; she plays Ramona Royale, a film star who used to have a romantic relationship with The Countess (Lady Gaga), and wants revenge. Said Bassett: “They are powerful women at opposite sides and at odds with one another, each believing that they’re right […] They’re both very strong women, so I don’t know who’s going to make who, who’s bitch.”

Gaga, Bassett and Campbell are joined by Sarah Paulson, Kathy Bates, Evan Peters, Wes Bentley, Chloë Sevigny and Matt Bomer in the cast of "Hotel," along with newcomer Cheyenne Jackson.
