Last time we'd heard of singer CeeLo Green, a phone seemingly exploded in his face. Now, the "F**k You" crooner is in hot water after posting a disparaging tweet criticizing the protestors of Super Bowl LIII and former Super Bowl QB Colin Kaepernick.

In a Sunday night tweet, which has now been deleted, the Atlanta native complimented fellow ATLien Big Boi on his halftime performance. He then proceeded to chastise those who decided to stand with Kaepernick and refrain from watching the primetime football game. The former San Francisco 49ers player has been famously blackballed from the league after kneeling to protest police brutality against Black people. As a result, several artists such as Rihanna and Cardi B have sided with the activist and vowed not to perform on the Super Bowl stage while Kaepernick continued to be blackballed.

"F**k these so-called protestors, you just got 100m worth of press. I'll kill for you," his tweet read.

The online community did not take kindly to his remark and immediately denounced the musician's comment.

Monday morning, Green tweeted an apology and claimed his previous words were posted "in the heat of the moment."

Despite the apology, some remained offended by the post and encouraged the former The Voice coach to consider "Culture over $" when discussing similar topics in the future.
