In a pretty funny case of mistaken identity, a CNN contributor stumbled over her words while insisting a popular radio show was exercising his "white privilege." The problem is, he's a Black man.

On Tuesday, CNN legal analyst Areva Martin and Fox Nation host David Webb were discussing the sensitive topic of white privilege. During their conversation, Webb justified that his background and experience are more important than the color of his skin when applying to jobs, to which Martin argued that it was because he was using his white privilege.

"Well, David, that’s a whole other long conversation about white privilege, the things that you have the privilege of doing, that people of color don't have the privilege of," Martin asserted in the below audio clip.

Webb immediately asked, "How do I have the privilege of white privilege?"

Martin then retorted, "David, by virtue of being a white male you have white privilege. This whole long conversation, I don't have time to get into…."

At that point, Webb politely corrected his guest and informed Martin of her gaffe.

"Areva, I hate to break it to you, but you should’ve been better prepped," he said. “I'm Black."

Martin apologized for the misinterpretation and blamed her camp for providing inaccurate notes for the interview.

Webb did not chastise Martin following the error, as The Washington Post noted. Instead, he encouraged the Harvard Law graduate to return as a guest in the future so they could have a more in-depth discussion on the subject. He later appeared on the Fox News morning show Fox and Friends to speak more on their awkward conversation.

Before letting the blunder settle, Webb made sure to include one more joke at Martin's expense on Twitter.

He captioned a photo of himself with fellow conservative host Andrew Wilkow, "just two guys showing their #WhitePrivelege."
