Colin Kaepernick isn't done yet.

The beleaguered former San Francisco 49ers QB is staying in top-notch shape just in case his fortune turns around.

Since the 2016 NFL season, Kaepernick's protests during the national anthem has dominated American politics primarily by influencing others to join. He has become public enemy No. 1 to the right because they claim his protests against racism and police brutality are about the military and the flag. 

Yahoo Sports reports Kaep wasn't signed after the 49ers released him last year because he’s a vegan. Higher-ups claimed Kaep could not maintain weight due to his dietary lifestyle.

However, the QB and his girlfriend, Nessa Diab, has shared new photos of his physique challenging those notions. 

Kaepernick has been a vegan for two years, and during the last year he was still playing, it was difficult for him to maintain weight. But that was due to multiple surgeries and his inability to work out more consistently. 

His attempts to re-enter the league have become another issue. The NFL is trying to close his collusion case against it prematurely. Allegations of the league's owners conspiring and blackballing the athlete have become the main reason he no longer plays.  

While the league turns against him, Kaep continues to receive accolades. Most recently he won the NEA President’s Award at the National Education Association’s Human and Civil Rights Awards ceremony on Sunday, July 1.
