I must admit that I'm so behind on this series. Too many shows to keep up with, and after checking out early episodes of it, I just wasn't sucked in enough to continue on. But I hope some of you are fans and have been watching.
Clearly, enough people have since Comedy Central announced today that it's bringing the series back for a secod season, starting on September 26, at 10:30pm ET/PT.
Expect the following guest stars: Wayne Brady, Kevin Sorbo, Rob Delaney, Billy Dee Williams and Brenda Song.
Expect the following sketches: an uncomfortable Chris Brown music video featuring Rihanna; Racist zombies; and gangsters who bond over a mutual love of the Twilight series.
Viewers can also look forward to the return of Obama and his anger translator Luther, as the series continues to tackle issues like race relations in a less than "post-racial" society and focus on culturally relevant characters such as Steve Jobs and the King of Pop himself, Michael Jackson.
The first season series premiere pulled in 2.1 million total viewers, making it the biggest Comedy Central launch since 2009!
And lastly, look for Key & Peele Season One on Blu-ray and DVD on September 25, with bonus features including footage from the South Beach Comedy Festival, more from Luther – Obama's Anger Translator, audio commentaries and more!
So, once again, Wednesday, September 26, 10:30pm ET/PT, Key & Peele return to primetime.
