If reports are correct, Compton's Mayor Aja Brown will run against actress and conservative commentator Stacey Dash for Congress.

When Stacey Dash filed to run for Congress last month, she drew quite a few side-eyed looks. The "Clueless" star was a Hollywood actress and video vixen before becoming a staunch supporter of the Republican Party, Fox News pundit and critic of the black community.

One of her most recent transgressions drawing outrage was calling beloved Rep. Maxine Waters a “corrupt media buffoon sucking up her late in life 15 minutes” on Twitter, per The Wrap.

Dash wants to represent the largely Democratic 44th District which includes Compton, Watts, San Pedro and North Long Beach, but residents are hoping for another candidate. TMZ reports there are unconfirmed rumors suggesting Brown has expressed interest in running against Dash.

As the youngest mayor of Compton, she has reduced crime and championed employment and food programs. Her leadership has made her a popular House possibility who would undoubtedly have the support of the people. A source close to TMZ said that Brown believes Dash is  "running for notoriety" and has no relationship with the district.

According to CNN, the 44th District has not be won by a Republican in years. Could Stacey Dash change that?
